Tyler E. Smith Bio
T.E. Smith grew up in the southern United States building treehouses, catching fireflies, and fishing in ponds. It was in these suburban and rural settings that his imagination took flight.
Life progressed and higher education was sought; first pursuing a Major in Biology and later in English. But while attending Birmingham Southern College, he discovered oil painting, an interest that eventually led him out of Alabama. Travelling to San Francisco, he attended the Academy of Art University where he fine-tuned his skills; discovering the joy of working with metals, and earned his degree in Fine Art painting and sculpture.
After graduation, the inspiration he desired was not to be found in the city, for it is from nature that humans have come to know beauty. So it was that me made his way to Santa Fe, the City of Holy Faith, here in the Land of Enchantment. And it is here T.E. Smith makes his home among the peaks and valleys; seeking inspiration within the mountainous wilds, striving to emulate the Almighty's beauty through the reconstruction of natural forms.
